You don’t have to do your engagement, bridals, and wedding all at the same location. As traveling photographers, we’d love to make the magic happen for you. For Dani and Jake, we were West Palm Beach photographers for the weekend, and we had a blast!
Starting a new life together as a couple often comes with exciting transitions and changes. Dani and Jake moved from Pittsburgh to the Palm Beach area and wanted to shoot their engagement session in the beautiful upscale district of Worth Avenue in Palm Beach, Florida.
The short whirlwind of the engagement period is as much a part of the story as the wedding day itself. This chapter deserves recognition and celebration, too! I love that Dani and Jake decided to document their new beginnings with an engagement session in their new city while planning their wedding back home in Pittsburgh with their loved ones—it’s a great way to honor the memories and celebrate their fresh start. (They’ll be tying the knot at the stunning Wintergarden at PPG Place, so stay tuned for sneak peeks of that!)
Worth Avenue is a four-block stretch in Palm Beach stretching from Lake Worth to the Atlantic Ocean on the other side. Stroll down the luxurious ‘vias’ of Worth Avenue for a Mediterranean experience right here in the states. The stunning architecture makes you feel as if you just stepped onto the charming streets of Santorini. As you might imagine, the place where Lilly Pulitzer got her start is brimming with beautiful boutiques, upscale retailers, and divine cuisine.
Whether you love to show off the fresh-squeezed styles or just like to look, you have to at least step into Lilly Pulitzer Palm Beach. Lilly Pulitzer first staked her claim on colorful, beachy fashion right here in Palm Beach. Her styles were an instant hit with the ladies of Palm Beach, and her legacy still lives on today with her vibrant clothing line.
You’ll also find other upscale shops, like Gucci, Chanel, Tory Burch, Bottega Venata, Louis Vuitton, Max Mara, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Akris.
Worth Avenue shopping starts at The Esplanade at 150 Worth, which overlooks the ocean for an al fresco luxury shopping experience (and of course they have Starbucks to fuel your Worth Avenue adventures). We might even catch a fashion show or photoshoot while we’re there.
Worth Avenue dining experiences are as spectacular as the shopping. Grab a small bite, sandwich, salad, smoothie, or coffee at the charming Pink Paradise Café. Or, take advantage of the Mediterranean ambiance at Pizza al Fresco (which is exactly as the name suggests).
In the evening, step into the Leopard Lounge & Restaurant at the Chesterfield Hotel, which features uniquely-crafted, homemade vodkas. Then, enjoy poolside dining on the terrace. For an extra-luxe wine experience, visit Le Bar à Vin with an extensive selection of signature cocktails and a variety of wines from vineyards all over the world. They also have a charcuterie and light entrée menu as well.
Despite the upscale ambiance of Worth Avenue, they don’t always take themselves too seriously. You can participate in fun events and volunteer opportunities too, including:
Of course, you can simply peruse the shops, sip cocktails al fresco, and spend the rest of the time beach combing. Palm Beach boasts six resorts and hotels to choose from, including the Four Seasons Palm Beach, the historic landmark Chesterfield Hotel, The Colony Hotel, The Breakers Hotel & Spa (a 140-acre of private beachfront property!), or The Brazilian Court Palm Beach.
