When it comes to planning your wedding, there are so many moving parts! From your overall wedding aesthetic to the intricate invitation details, there’s a great deal that requires your attention. Of all these important decisions, your wedding photos and video are the keepsakes that will help you reminisce on your special day. Both have their unique importance, and it’s invaluable to have cohesion between the two when retelling the story of your wedding day. Hiring a wedding photographer and videographer team is a great way to ensure consistency and coverage.
Our photo-video team was honored to shoot Brayden and Daniel’s wedding day in Pittsburgh. Recommendations from previous clients brought Brayden our way because of the authenticity of our shooting style. When sharing her vision for her wedding day photography and videography, Brayden said genuine shots of the day that highlighted their personalities were must-haves.
The two married at the stunning Heinz Memorial Chapel on the University of Pittsburgh campus. This historic chapel made for breathtaking ceremony photos inside and out. Afterward, we took portraits outside the chapel and neighboring city streets. Because of the Oakland area’s versatility, we were able to capture stunning city portraits and some sunny nature shots, too!
The reception that followed at The Oaklander Hotel was a fun celebration for the newlyweds and their nearest and dearest. My favorite part of their reception was their first dance. . . set to reggae music! It certainly caught their guests’ attention, and it was incredible to see them celebrating and enjoying the moment so freely. Then, at sunset, we utilized the gorgeous natural light in the bar area and got some dreamy shots without having to leave the party!
It is always a smooth experience when couples book our team for wedding photography and videography. Not only do we have fun together, but there’s a multitude of logistical benefits as well. Here are some perks of hiring a photo + video team for your wedding.
There are many reasons why it is so important to find someone to capture your day that matches the aesthetic you envision. If you haven’t landed on a particular style, check out my blog 5 Wedding Styles to Know in 2023 to find inspiration. A major benefit to booking a team for photography and videography is the similarity in their shooting style; they’re a team for a reason!
Instead of having multiple meetings with both vendors, choosing a team saves time and simplifies constructing your expectations for each! A photo-video team will have a shared vision and can work together to ensure your wedding media is how you envisioned (or better!).
Some photography and videography teams may offer discounted packages when your book them for both services. If you dream of a destination wedding, this is a significant bonus. Booking a team means saving on travel expenses (shared accommodation, rentals, etc.).
A photographer and videographer team like ours has experience working together, which results in a smoother wedding day! We are in sync and work as one to find those special shots and inspire each other along the way. We can team up to cover each moment from multiple angles.
You’ve worked tirelessly to plan the ins and outs of your big day, so naturally, you’d like to document all aspects, big or small. Photos showcase the details and freeze-frame those special moments, while video captures them live so that you can truly relive them all. When you work with a team, you can have peace of mind that they’ve got every priceless moment covered.
