Even with the snow falling all around us, this romantic engagement session was HOT! Bree had a gorgeous winter session red-dress vision, and these two nailed it. She looked strikingly elegant against the wintry backdrop. I was worried Bree might get cold in her backless gown, but Bree and Kyle are Wisconsinites and can handle the cold. He snuggled her close, and they danced and spun their way across the snow to keep warm. They wanted something a little more adventurous for their engagement session, so they called me to plan a quick getaway to beautiful Colorado.
Earlier this year, I found this hidden gem called Sapphire Point located in Dillon, Colorado. In the warmer months, the point looks out over Lake Dillon with perfect views of the rolling mountain range behind. However, it’s almost more spectacular in the winter months. It gives off a completely different vibe with the snow blowing off of the mountains. We could barely see the sun shining through the powder. What an ethereal experience!
After enjoying the winter wonderland for a while, they snuck back into peaceful grove of trees for a few quiet moments together before heading back out, this time with a bottle of bubbly and a cozy blanket. They toasted to their future, then huddled close beneath the blanket.
Some of my favorite photos were of the two of them playing together like kids – two free spirits just enjoying life together. He trekked through the snow with Bree riding piggyback, her colorful scarf trailing behind! And what’s a snowy session without a snowball fight for the grand finale?
This Colorado engagement sessions had it all: romance, cozy snuggles, and lots of laughter! Our time together flew by, and could not be more excited for these love birds to tie the knot. Cheers, my friends!
