A little bit of luxury, a dash of boho whimsy, and a whole lot of love and laughter—those were the ingredients for Meredith and Steven’s unforgettable Outer Banks wedding day. You know you’re in for an adventure when you have to use a 4X4 vehicle or an ATV to get to the ceremony location. These two wanted a romantic beach location that was unlike any other, and this incredible beach house mansion fit the bill perfectly. But before we get into the details, I’ve got to show off some newlywed portraits from their mini session the day after. The waves, the sunlight, and the day-after high were all too perfect, and we created some stunning photos together. Enjoy!
To get to their remote Outer Banks beach wedding location, we rented a super cool Jeep. The crew did some off roading and beach driving while we were at it. Then, when it was time for them to tie the knot, we headed over to a beautiful custom wooden arch set up by the ocean. Meredith and Steven’s closest friends and family came from all over to witness their heartfelt “I dos.” (All of us ‘Burgh natives really enjoyed the warm sea breeze and ocean views). I will never forget this wedding. The sun peeked out and lit up their wedding arch just in time for their first kiss!
After exchanging vows and they had a family-style dinner by candlelight out on the deck, which was super intimate. Then, they ended the night with a jump into the beach house pool and several rounds of karaoke! I had the best time documenting this beautiful beach wedding for such a fun and free-spirited couple.
