There is only one word to describe Lindsey and Jonathan’s wedding at the Omni Hilton Head Resort South Carolina. Unforgettable! From the precious moments with their daughter to their first kiss as husband and wife, their wedding day was as perfect as they come. This was my first time shooting a wedding at this South Carolina beachfront wedding location, and I already can’t wait to go back!
The beautiful couple met up for a first look photoshoot before the wedding. With a nod to the beachy boardwalk vibe, we decided to shoot in front of the iconic 18th Hole Harbour Town Lighthouse. I loved the classic red and white stripes on the lighthouse. It brought just the right pop of color and festivity to the photos! Then we headed back to the resort for their gorgeous ceremony and reception. Before the ceremony, Lindsey told me she couldn’t wait to see the look on Jon’s face as she walked towards him down the aisle, especially with their precious daughter Reagan right there with them on their big day! This sweet family of three had me reaching for the tissues all day—every moment was a memory in the making.
The elegant ceremony took place on the oceanfront deck, overlooking the stunning sugar-sand beach and blue water. It was adorable watching Reagan’s face change as she stood there waiting in eager anticipation. When saw her mom start walking down the aisle, she gasped, “I see Mom!!!” Reagan was a big centerpiece of their entire day, including waiting for her mom and dad so they could all walk down the aisle together. She was so cute blowing kisses and waving to all the guests! This little girl certainly wasn’t camera shy, and I sure loved taking her pictures!
Following the ceremony, guests moved to the green space under the string lights for cocktail hour. Then, they all headed to the deck for the reception. We photographed the wedding party in front of the draping Spanish moss of Hilton Head trees surrounding the resort. We took more beach photos underneath cotton candy sunset skies within walking distance of the venue. It was absolutely stunning and made for the perfect dream wedding location!
With seven venue spaces and rooms to choose from, you are sure to find the location perfect for your individual style. The resort provides several options that include oceanfront views, luxurious mood lighting, intricate floral displays, elegant décor, and live entertainment.
If you’re planning a destination wedding, Hilton Head Resort also has plenty of rooms for all of your guests to stay and enjoy the ambiance as well! There are 323 guest rooms available, but be sure to book in advance to guarantee a block for your friends and family.
The spacious venue also provides plenty of room for up to 250 guests. So, feel free to invite more friends and family without fear of overcrowding. There will be lots of space on the dance floor! And, with the uncertainty of the pandemic, you can opt for an al fresco outdoor space like Lindsey and Jonathan. That way you can keep everyone a bit safer.
The number one reason why couples choose to host their wedding day at the Omni Hilton Head Resort is the seaside view and tropical ambiance. The white, sandy beaches, lush gardens, and private access to the ocean make this the premier wedding location on the East Coast.
While the Omni Hilton Head Resort South Carolina was absolutely incredible, witnessing this sweet couple exchange their vows along with their daughter is what really made the day extra special. I had a wonderful time photographing Lindsey and Jonathan’s wedding day, and I look forward to capturing yours as well!
