Traditional

If you’re looking for a traditional date night near Nashville, check out Gray’s on Main. This historic building from the 1800s used to be a landmark pharmacy. In 2013, it was restored to what is now a unique restaurant and bar experience that serves upscale southern cuisine. Try their famous fried pimento cheeseballs with moonshine pepper jelly, or head to the bar for a Magnolia Bitter, made with their own steeped magnolia leaves. Enjoy your food and drink with live music performances.

Casual

Craving more of a BBQ-style date night? Then you must check out Martin’s Bar-B-Que Joint: home of the West Tennessee style whole hog BBQ. If you’re craving authentic southern BBQ, Martin’s is the place to be. They also offer tender smoked beef brisket, mouthwatering ribs, and juicy smoked turkey and chicken. This local favorite has become so popular that they have several locations around Nashville.

Kilwins in Downtown Franklin, without a doubt, will satisfy your sweet tooth. Enjoy over 75 different treats like their creamy Mackinac Island Fudge or a hand-dipped caramel apple. Everything in this shop is handmade, and the burnished copper kettle fire mixer they use to make their peanut brittle predates World War II!

Historic Sight Seeing

After dinner and dessert, why not step back into the Civil War era and take a tour around the Carnton, Carter, and Lotz homes and museums. Each house tells a fascinating story of the Battle of Franklin. Guided tours are available, or simply stroll the grounds and outbuildings.

Movie Night

End your date night at the historic Franklin Theatre, where movies have been rolling for 70 years on Main Street. The theater today serves as a multipurpose venue for music, movies, and community events. The Franklin Theater continues showing movies but now does live music concerts and live stage theater performances as well (plus a full bar and concessions).
