If you could go anywhere to exchange “I do’s” with the one you love, where would it be? For this gorgeous couple, it was Lake Tahoe. But rather than a fancy resort or crowded chapel, they wanted an intimate experience with the glistening lake behind them for the first kiss. I couldn’t be more in love with this sunset Lake Tahoe elopement. Mother Nature showed off for this couple’s wedding day, and it was truly an honor to make their adventurous vision a reality. Lindsey looked absolutely stunning in her backless sheath dress from Moonlight Lace. Makeup by Elise Brodskey helped complete the look. I love the contrast between the bridal-white gown and the rich natural undertones of the hand-tied bouquet by KJ Floral Designs. With the design in place, Lindsey and TJ were free to simply enjoy the day together. We found this cozy nook along the shoreline and made the most of every minute.
One of the things I love most about elopements is the freedom they provide. On your special day, you probably want to spend quality time together and share a few romantic moments. That’s tricky when all eyes are on you and you feel the pressure to entertain your guests.
For those who want the elopement experience without excluding friends and family, I encourage you to take that elopement adventure because you may regret it if you don’t. Then, plan a reception with loved ones when you’re ready. Share a few photos from your elopement so loved ones feel part of your big day. They’ll understand and look forward to celebrating with you when you get home!
For their completely personalized elopement, Lindsey and TJ wanted the bride and groom attire with the full bridal bouquet; but they also wanted a breathtaking backdrop that a traditional wedding venue couldn’t offer. This Lake Tahoe sunset elopement was the perfect balance. They got everything they wanted without having to compromise, and they were free to be themselves and relish every moment without rushing on their wedding day.
Thanks for sharing your love story with me, Lindsey and TJ – here’s to many more adventures together!
